THE SESSION EXPERIENCE
Once you arrive our professional hair/makeup artist will be ready to create the perfect look you’re going for! All you need to do is show up with a clean face and hair washed the morning of or the night before the shoot! Your session booking fee covers our professional hair/makeup services and the shoot itself with the sets that will create a variety of looks within your photoshoot. While you are in hair and makeup, we will go through your wardrobe and plan out your shoot.
Professional hair and makeup is such an essential part of the boudoir photography experience; it can make or break your photo shoot and that’s why we only work with the best makeup and hair artists!
We have two professional hair/makeup stylists who have many years of experience working with ALL skin tones and hair types. Not only do they know how to give you the perfect look you’re wanting, but most importantly they know how to do makeup for the particular lighting and retouching techniques we use.
Do you have a specific look in mind? Feel free to create a pinterest board and show it to our stylist once you arrive here.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
One of the most common concerns about doing a boudoir shoot is what to wear? We ask our clients to bring 4-5 different looks if possible, not including jerseys or button downs. Jersey's are cute, but not cute enough to shoot a whole set in. We will shoot 3 different outfits.
When you book, you will be emailed our Full Preparation Guide that will include a list of our favorite websites and also has information about different types of lingerie, what works and what doesn't, what to look for and what to bring with you.
I will also share with you the link to my Outfits Ideas List on Amazon.com where you can find the outfits that usually photograph well.
Every shoot is custom, so we do not offer lingerie pieces at our studio. It is very important that you bring the wardrobe that fits you properly. Fit is SO important. We can not fix ill fitting lingerie in Photoshop.
If you have lots of ideas and outfits and you’re having trouble narrowing them down, then we always recommend you bring it all! It is better to have too much than not enough.
POSING
We have photographed hundreds of women of all shapes and sizes. We will tell you everything to do, from the angles of your head the whole way to your toes. You don’t need to worry about a thing, you just need to simply show up for your session.
We have years of training in posing to ensure that you are always posed in the most flattering ways and under the most flattering lighting. Once it’s time for your shoot we will just ask you to do simple things such as: “bring that shoulder towards me, bring your chin forward a bit, now look up at me with your eyes, put your hand here, etc.” It’s super simple and again you don’t need to do anything to prepare for this.
RETOUCHING
"Do you use Photoshop?" This is the number one question we are asked.
The answer is "YES". You can rest at ease knowing that we’ve been in business for a long time and our customers love how we do this! You will still be YOU, just a retouched glamorous version of you!
Our standard professional retouching includes skin and facial wrinkles smoothing, removal of bruises, varicose veins, stretch marks, scars (if requested).
THE TIMELINE AND INVESTMENT
In order to secure your session date, the $350 session booking fee and signed agreement are required. The $350 fee covers the shoot with expert posing guidance throughout the whole session and my pro hair and make up artist. We usually recommend doing the shoot at least 6-7 weeks before you need your custom printed book delivered for your special occasion gift. Please plan ahead!! We book 2-8 months in advance. If you are just finding us and need your shoot asap, drop us an email or text. We try our best to fit everyone in and you may be lucky!
We shoot Monday - Friday only. Hair and makeup take about 1.5 hrs. The shoot itself takes about 1.5 hrs. So, plan to hang out with us for about 3 hours! The time flies fast!
At the end of your shoot, we will pick a date for your ordering appointment. This will be 1-2 weeks later. That is when you will see your gorgeous images and make your purchasing decisions.
Individual artwork prints start at $150, Wall Art starts at $450, Image Collections start at $850. What a client spends depends on many factors like, how many images you want, what type of album you want, if you want wall art or digital files. Every client is different. Most clients spend over 1K for the photo products they desire.
Albums and wall art are delivered within 3-5 weeks after you place the order.
We accept cash, all credit cards, Paypal. We accept Paypal Credit which lets you pay for your purchase interest free for 6 months. It's a great way to get what you want and you don't have to come up with the whole amount upfront. We also offer FINANCING through AFTERPAY & KLARNA.
Some of my clients have found it helpful to open up a 12-15 months no interest credit card for their boudoir investment. This way, you can finance more for longer without interest.

To book your boudoir photo shoot with LX Boudoir we require up front a session fee and signed agreement. This $350 fee includes our professional hair and makeup artist and the shoot itself. It does not include images. Those you purchase separately at your ordering appointment.
